In the era of computerize world, software engineer is the player. The define trends, even larger, they define future. Not only that, but also economic impacts. There’re are many jobs for software engineer, and for sure they pay high salary.

Can Papua become software engineer? Yeah, maybe. Just maybe, because till today, we have never heard about some Papuan work at google, or Facebook or any other software company, or maybe Telkomsel, any local software company.

In high school I am fascinating by software engineering, I read in internet about Mark Zuckerberg made Facebook with PhP coding language. I went on YouTube and start learn Html, PhP. But it so hard, honestly. I thought I am late, or just my brain doesn’t meet the requirements. The second is worst possibility.

Image if God created human, many variations. Just like company make computer, some with low specs, some with higher specifications. How can Computer with HDD, Nvidia 330, RAM 4GB beat computer with SSD, Nvidia 4060, RAM 32 GB? Never. It’s very easy for western or Japanese to learn and build technology, but why it’s hard for us or for African. But it’s very pessimistic opinion.

We must at least try. I mean there must be 2000 Papuan children try study this fields since elementary school and we wait how many of them will success? How many of them will grow, complete study process and maybe work at Google company or maybe build their own company.

This is very important field of study. Until today, I haven’t met some government in Papua take it seriously. Papuan government and many of the people are still struggle to basic things. But if some of us get good opportunity in life, use it seriously, be pioneer, be first Papuan to do incredible things in some area.
