Sugapa, i went there only two time on my entire life when write this article. So, i have no many information to share about this town. 

Sugapa is capital of Intan Jaya regency, Papua province. Intan Jaya dominated by Moni people and located in Moni region, and this is the only one. I  went there after visit Wandae, we walked and using motorcycle only,  still, ojek be hero here. 

Bilogai Airport - Sugapa

If you on hurry, you simple buy airplane ticket in Nabire or Timika and you'll arrive after a 45 minutes at Bilogai Airport

The temperature is very cold, its getting cooler in the night. If you go there for the first time, you better sleep in Silabagai or Honai, which is Moni or they call themself Migani  traditional house. In Silabagai, they put fire place in the centre of Silabagai which shape circle. I'll talk about Silabagai or Honai of Moni people latter.

Silent in the town

If you wanna climb the one and only snowy mountain on equator - Cartenz you must get here first. I suggest you to contact Mr. Maximus Tipagau if you like to climb Cartenz Pyramid. Moni people call the mountain "Mbai Ngella" which literally mean sacred stone. when wind from Mbai Ngella come, you better get inside Honai.

There is a Christian church, Catholic and a Mosque in Sugapa. There are many village you can visit around Sugapa using motorcycle, I haven't done that yet, but because at the time we visit, we're very busy. 

Next time, I'll write about village around Sugapa. But photos I shared are enough to introduce this new town.
